About Me

I am a local hairdresser and salon owner with 10-plus years experience. I pride myself on being born, raised and educated here in our great state of Maine, but I realized early on that if I wanted that “city” flare, I was going to have to bring it here!

First and foremost I have to say that the BEST job I have is being a wife and mother of two amazing boys. That being said, I always knew I wanted to be involved in the fashion industry.  After one year of sweating it out in college, I decided to GO FOR IT!

I went to cosmetology school right here in Maine and I credit them only to my being able to get my cosmetology license. It was my passion and drive of wanting more that led me to Paul Mitchell in 1998 and I have been receiving training from them ever since. It is my passion that moves me to always seek more, grow more and give more! It is also this passion that led me to join forces with my best friend and sister-in-law and open up our own salon, The L Factor,  four years ago.

In our first year of business we received two national awards for our salon and it’s performance. I have a great team behind me at my salon, and I’m lucky enough to say that I absolutely love what I do — really. Going to work, for me, is not a job.

I’m also more than “just” a hairdresser. A desire to give my brides a more personal and couture experience led me to create a custom look with couture headpieces designed by me and the start of Blush Couture Accents. Wedding hair and design is absolutely one of my most favorite things to do.

I grew up sewing through the 4-H program and have used that within my career by creating and sewing costumes for The L Factors annual Hair Show, as well as designing dresses for myself and others. Recently, I became a senior consultant with Mary Kay, which I am absolutely ecstatic about — just one more thing I get to add to my resume.

In short, I’m ready to help you tame your Maine mane, fix your face, and spice up your style. I also welcome questions and feedback.
